Engaging under-resourced communities to move Houston forward

In 2018, the City of Houston was ravaged by floods caused by Hurricane Harvey. While the devastation was citywide, low-income and underserved communities were particularly affected. As the Mayor’s Office worked with state and federal officials on recovery efforts, they also understood that programming to support the residents of these communities was now more important than ever. To this end, much of Bloomberg Associates’ work focused on community-based engagement to help give a leg up to those who needed it most.
