With its musical, historical, and culinary heritage, Kansas City is one of the country’s most diverse and authentic cities. Over the last few years, however, KC has been garnering more attention for its infrastructure investments and growing business sectors than for its jazz and barbecue. Understanding that the city was in a unique moment in time, the Mayor’s Office wanted to build on its momentum by modernizing and investing in new opportunities and in how the city gets things done.
