Ernesto Freire joined Bloomberg Associates at its inception in January 2014 as Chief of Staff and senior communications and internal management lead. With over a decade of experience working in both the private and public sectors, in his dual role, Ernesto is primarily responsible for helping clients develop comprehensive communications and operational strategies including refining public messaging priorities, reviewing and helping implement internal reporting and management structures, creating internal and external stakeholder engagement programs, and leading staff trainings on public relations best practices. Additionally, Ernesto works with CEO George Fertitta in overseeing and managing the overall relationship with each city as a day-to-day liaison with mayors and their senior staff.

Previously, Ernesto was Vice President of External & Government Affairs at NYC & Company — New York City’s marketing and tourism organization — overseeing the creation and launch of the Government Affairs department. He was responsible for developing public policy and legislative positioning to support continued tourism growth and was the organization’s representative at key associations including the Governor’s Tourism Advisory Council, National Tour Association, Latin Media and Entertainment Commission and the Lower Manhattan Task Force.

Ernesto holds a B.A. from Johns Hopkins University and a Juris Doctorate from Fordham University School of Law.
